Q: What is the Pedal Boat Pub?

We're so glad you asked! We are a 25 foot Cycleboat Bar for 16 guests with 10 pedal stations facing each other around a beautiful mahogany bar. A trough-style cooler runs through the middle of the bar allowing riders to easily access their own cold food and beverages. It has large cushiony seats and soft pedals, the riding experience is comparable to being on a beach cruiser. We are the first Cycleboat Bar in Oakland County!

Q: How much does it cost?

The cost is dependent on whether or not you want to book the full boat or just individual seats (keep in mind that there needs to be 6 people in order to take a tour out). 

Monday-Thursday Pricing

Individual Seats: $30.00 + 6% sales tax

Full Boat: $424.00 + 6% sales tax

Friday-Sunday Pricing

Individual Seats: $35.00 + 6% sales tax

Full Boat: $500.00 + 6% sales tax

Q: How long is a tour?

Each tour is an hour and a half long. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early. The Pedal Boat Pub Party Bus will pick you up a few minutes prior to departure time. You are welcome to schedule more then one time slot! We can also provide all day events upon requests. 

Q: Where is the tour meeting place?

All tours start and end at Rio on Main Southwest Cantina! Exclusive drink specials will be provided for the Pedal Boat Pub before and after the tour!

Q: I can't wait to get on board! How do I book?

1. Click on "Book Now!", this will then take you to our booking page.

2. Choose to rent the "full boat" at a discounted price or pay for "guests" seats.

3. Pick your day and your time.

4. Once booked we will send you a confirmation email with information. We suggest arriving 30 minutes early. Our Pedal Boat Party Bus will pick you up at Rio's and take you to the marina. There is no extra parking at the marina. Rio's will provide exclusive food and drink specials for the Pedal Boat Pub passengers before and after the tour! 

Q: How do we get to the boat and when should we arrive?

We will meet you at the restaurant and the Pedal Boat Pub party bus will take you to the dock! We suggest you arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time but feel free to meet in advance for a bite to eat at Rio's!

Q: Do I need to bring my own cooler and ice?

You are more than welcome to bring your own, but we provide the ice as well as a self-serve cooler that runs through the middle of the bar.

Q: Will there be a captain on board?

Each tour will have a CAPTAIN and FIRST MATE! You will be in great hands as each captain is trained to guarantee your safety and fun!

Q: How about music, do I need to bring that too?

We will have playlists set up for you on our own devices but you are more than welcome and encouraged to bring your own music for the ride! We have an aux cord as well as bluetooth on board. 

Q: Is there a bathroom on board?

For emergencies only we will have a portable toilet. 

Q: What should we bring?

Favorite snack, drinks, a source or music, sunscreen sunglasses and optional bathing suit. We do have the ability to stop and jump in the water on a hot day to cool off!

Q: I wanted to book a Monday or Tuesday tour, but it doesn't let me. What should I do?

For Mondays and Tuesdays you have to call us for FULL BOAT or ALL DAY EVENT reservations.

Q: What is the Cancellation Policy?

Reservations are non-refundable and non-reschedulable . We reserve the right to cancel a tour at any time due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. 
If your tour is cancelled, we will attempt to reschedule you for an alternate date/time or provide you with a full refund (excluding behavior-related cancellations). 
The Pedal Boat Pub will sail in light rain, thanks to a collapsible canopy that covers the entire deck. 
In the case of extreme weather (if thunder, lightening or heavy winds are present) the captain reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your tour is cancelled, we will attempt to reschedule you for an alternate date/time or provide you with a full refund. No refunds will be awarded to no-shows.

Q: It's raining, are we still going out for a tour?

Q: Do you provide life jackets?

Our number one priority is safety! There are life jackets for all adults and children on board, wearing them is optional. We are coast guard certified. You must sign a waiver before departure. If under the age of 18 a legal guardian must sign before you can hop on. 

Q: Am I allowed on the boat even if I'm not 21?

Yes. You must  be 21 with ID in order to consume alcoholic beverages. 

Q: Will there be alcohol available on the boat or do I have to bring my own?

You supply your own food and beverages for the trip. We supply coolers full of ice in the center of the bar!

Q: I don't have 16 people, can I still rent the whole boat?

Yes! However, we need a minimum of 6 people to run the tour. If we have less than 6 people we will reschedule or fully refund your money.
